Croyde Bay
Croyde Bay is North Devon's best-known surf spot, producing powerful hollow beach break waves over a sandy bottom. Facing north-west, the horseshoe-shaped bay focuses swell and creates intense peaks, especially at low tide. Best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The south end near Baggy Point gets the most consistent sandbanks. Very popular — arrive early in summer.
Conditions look mixed today with moderate onshore wind and a dropping swell period through the afternoon. Best bet is the early morning push before the wind picks up. Tomorrow looks cleaner with a slight shift in direction.
